Building a Stronger Union

By now you are aware of Justice Scalia's death.  While it is impossible to accurately predict what the Supreme Court will do, his passing, although tragic, has afforded labor unions the opportunity to breathe a very brief 'sigh of relief'.  We must not forget, however, that the well-funded legal assault on unions will continue.  Waiting in the wings of Friedrichs are other challenges to our rights and so our efforts must not cease.  In fact, it is time to switch them into high gear!

We need to be relentless in building our union stronger.  Only by being united and knowing the true value of UNION will we be able to defeat these attacks!

Thank you for making our first LUT Member Appreciation Night such a huge success.  It was nice to see everyone get a well deserved break and enjoy themselves with their colleagues.  I know I had fun getting to meet a lot of you for the first time and catching up with old friends.
