Person to person contacts are often the most effective way for people to advocate for important issues and show their support for political candidates they endorse.

Throughout the months of September and October, our state teacher's union, NYSUT is running phone banking operations to spread the word in one to one conversations about issues concerning public education and the importance of unions as the people's voice for rights and fair pay in the workplace.

NYSUT is looking for volunteers to "work the phones," every Tuesday in September and October, as well as Monday, November 5. Phone banks run from 10:30am to 2:00pm on these dates at the Nassau NYSUT Office - 1000 Woodbury Road, Suite 214, in Woodbury.

All LUT members- especially our retirees who might be available at these times during the day - are strongly encouraged to participate in phone banking. To get involved, call the NYSUT Office at (516) 496-2035.
