Our strength is shown when teachers vote

As another election day is upon us, I cannot stress the importance of showing our strength through voting. NYSUT's power comes in the size of our membership and our ability to get the vote out. Although this election year is considered an off year, it is important now, more than ever, for our members to flex their muscles and vote Tuesday, November 3rd.

Politicians continue to disrespect the teaching profession, partly because we have become complacent, and allowed elected officials to think we are weak. Show them how strong we still are and VOTE Tuesday, November 3rd. Our voices for our issues will not be ignored if elected officials know we vote!
 

Please do not allow apathy to deter you from making your voice heard. Voting is the most powerful tool we have to invoke change, and it starts now! Take a few minutes on Tuesday, November 3rd to give a resounding roar ~ VOTE!
