Salk Middle School 6th grade teacher, Caroline Kind, was recently honored by local radio station KJOY 98.3 as Teacher of the Month for June, 2019.
Caroline was nominated for the honor by one of her former students last spring. She was named a finalist by the radio station and took part in an online vote throughout the month of June. With the support of her brothers and sisters in the LUT and parents and students throughout the entire Levittown school district, Caroline received over 13,000 votes to secure her victory.

In recognition of her achievement, local Atlantic League professional baseball team, the Long Island Ducks, gave Caroline and entire section of free tickets to a home game. Caroline generously shared the tickets with some of her students as well as a few of her colleagues in the LUT.

Caroline also was invited to throw out the first pitch as part of the opening ceremony of the game.   Congratulations Caroline on this well-deserved honor!
