Wear Red for Ed March 12th

This week marks a full calendar year since we were all asked to shift to remote teaching due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.  

 

As a show of solidarity amongst all educators across Long Island, the Long Island President's Council has organized an island-wide Wear Red for Ed. day. The event will take place on Friday, March 12. Everyone is invited to wear red as a show of support for our profession, our colleagues, our unions and our schools.

 

The LUT is commemorating this day of unity by giving back. We are collecting donations for a very worthy organization that is doing great work in the Levittown community; the Levittown Angels. This important group has been active throughout the pandemic, supporting the most needy in our school district in a variety of ways.
