Levittown Retired Teachers member, Armand Tarantelli, has been honored twice in past few months for his service to our country during World War II.

Back in December, Armand was honored with other veterans at halftime of the annual Army/Navy football game. Earlier this month, the New York Islanders recognized Armand and three other World War II veterans as their Ford Military Heroes of the Game. Armand received free tickets to the game at the new UBS arena in Elmont as well as an Islanders jersey and other gifts.

Armand taught Industrial Arts classes for many years in the Levittown Schools and retired from Division Avenue High School. “Mr. T” as he was known to all, is now 96 years young. Congratulations to Armand on these well-deserved and well-earned recognitions.
