Time to Fix Tier Six

Our state teachers’ union, NYSUT, is launching an advocacy campaign improve retirement benefits for over 100,000 NYSUT members who are currently working under Tiers 5 and 6 of the state pension system.  Tier 5 and 6 NYSUT members must work longer and contribute more while earning a significantly reduced pension.  This is an important effort to provide equity amongst all NYSUT members and it is one that should be undertaken by all NYSUT members.
