Vote No on Prop 1

There are so many reasons why police officers, firefighters, first responders, teachers, nurses and so many others are planning to vote NO on a Constitutional Convention this November.

The bottom line is that so many things we hold dear and, perhaps, take for granted in our state, would be at great risk if our constitution is opened up to the whims of special interests.  And while our rights, benefits and protections get stripped away, political insiders - who already receive a taxpayer provided salary - will receive thousands and thousands of additional dollars to serve as delegates to a convention.  Where does the additional money for the salaries come from?  From additional taxes which will be levied on the taxpayers of New York State.

There is NOTHING that is achieved in a constitutional convention that cannot be achieved through regular order of our state assembly and senate.  Please share the information below with anyone who has any doubt that a constitutional convention is a big mistake for our state.

On November  7, please go to the polls, turn your ballot over and vote NO to proposition 1.
