Friedrichs Case: It Ain't Over 'Till It's Over

Ian Millhiser of Think Progress.org reported on January 11 that the lawyers representing the union side in the Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association Supreme Court case had a terrible day when presenting their arguments to the court.  Comments made by justices viewed to be possible swing votes in the case led Millhiser to suggest that a ruling against unions is likely.

But, there is hope!

As Millheiser is quick to point out, "Oral arguments cannot always predict the outcome of the case - just ask the millions of Americans who are now insured because of Obamacare."  And, as Shamus Cooke writes in his article for Counterpunch.org, unions still have plenty of time to sway public opinion, and the opinion of the Supreme Court.
